  1. Roots Pet began with a personal experience. A health challenge in Eetu’s family led him deep into researching the science behind human supplements.

    When a family dog later became ill, he searched for options that met the same standards - and struggled to find products that he could trust.

  2. At the same time, Callum and Mikko, who both have senior dogs, had begun to notice the health decline that comes with aging. After some research, not only did they realize they should have started prioritizing their dog's health earlier, before signs of aging began to show up, but also the available supplements were mainly full of fillers instead of real nutrients.

    Instead of feeling helpless, the three decided to create solutions to help their own dogs and others.

  3. The question that started everything.

  4. If the ingredients only do their job at the right dose, why do almost no brands use that amount in their supplements?

  5. The answer was cost. Real extracts, proper absorption, and full-strength amounts are expensive. It is cheaper to fill a chew with rice flour, sprinkle in a trace of something impressive, and call it a supplement.

  6. We looked at our own dogs and would not give them that. So we built what we couldn't buy. A supplement with proper dosages, no extra fillers, and human-grade ingredients.

  7. We are not building a lifestyle brand. We are building a daily foundation we trust enough to give our own dogs.
